Men in Black 3 Production

Sony Pictures made the announcement on April 1, 2009 that Men in Black 3 was to be given a go. In Late 2009, it was reported that screenwriter, Etan Cohen was tagged to write the Men in Black III screenplay. After many creative issues with the script a second writer, David Koepp, was brought in to help rewrite portions of the movie to help in smoothing out some of the time travel issues. In September 2010 a third writer, Jeff Nathanson was hired to rewrite parts of the script. Jeff Nathanson, David Koepp and Executive Producer Steven Spielberg have worked together in the past.
In November 2010, principal photography began and continued until May 2011 in NYC. Filming broke in December 2010 and did not resume until late March 2011. Rumor was that filming was delayed due to issues with the MIB 3 script, but was denied stating that the filming was delayed to take advantage of expiring NY tax incentives and to film scenes in the spring. Men in Black III did resume production in March and is slated to wrap up in June 2011.
